First Round Choice enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will begin December 2, 2025 and end on January 9, 2026. All applications are submitted through enrolljeffco.org and the Round 1 Lottery will happen late January. Jeffco schools will start sending out offers on or after January 20, 2026. Second Round of Choice enrollment opens January 15, 2026. Second round participants will be placed at the bottom of First Round waitlist according to the date of the application.

When a family is offered and has accepted a position for a student that is new to Jefferson County, they will need to complete the online registration and upload a copy of birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.  

Jefferson Academy’s Enrollment Priority List

• Staff children

• Siblings of current and returning students at Jefferson Academy

• Sibling Accepted (Waitlist only)

• Students currently attending Summit Academy or another JA Campus

• Jefferson County residents

• Out-of-County residents

• Second Round Open Enrollment opens January 15, 2026. This is for families that did not submit an application in EnrollJeffco (during Round 1) or declined an offer and choose to re-apply. Students in Round 2 are placed at the bottom of the First Round waitlists.

Jefferson Academy Secondary(JA) is a Choice Enrollment school with student priority placement based on the Jefferson Academy Board Policy 8.1 and follows the district enrollment process using the EnrollJeffco system. 

Additional Enrollment information:

• Transportation is not provided for students attending JA Secondary.

• A change of schools may affect athletic eligibility, please contact the JA Athletic Director with questions.
