SCHOOL NEWS:
As the senior year draws to a close, my heart fills with excitement at the thought of honoring our graduating seniors this upcoming Thursday. Witnessing their journey over these past three years has been nothing short of inspiring. Their leadership, energy, humor, and dedication have positively impacted our school.
With the weight of finals now lifted, the upcoming week holds special significance. From the senior parade and rehearsal to graduation day, each event is filled with excitement and pride.
As a father of a senior myself, I am experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. While I am brimming with pride and anticipation for my daughter's future, there's also a bit of bittersweet sadness as I dig through photos of her school experiences prepping for the big day. As parents of seniors taking on this journey together, let's not forget to revel in this milestone and hold on to these memories tightly.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't express my deep gratitude for all of our parents. Thank you for our partnership over the years and your continued support. Together we have provided our students with an exceptional learning experience at JA.
FINALS - We are heading into the final weeks of school, so please be sure that you have marked your calendar with our finals schedule FINALS and please refer to Tips for the final weeks of school:
Students should be spending time with teachers before or after school as frequently as possible.
All homework/classwork needs to be turned in on time for the remainder of the semester to earn full credit and recover previous low grades.
If there are missing assignments listed in Canvas that can still be turned in for credit, students need to get these completed and turned in to teachers as soon as possible to recover any potential credit.
Many teachers will have study sessions or study guides leading up to final exams. Students should be attending each study session and completing all study guides.

Soccer Scholarship Opportunity - The Dominic DePalma Memorial Scholarship Application is now accepting applications from "under the radar" middle & high school-aged Colorado residents, U13 to U19, who seek to continue their soccer participation.
Scholarships are awarded in memory of Dominic DePalma, a passionate player and empathic teammate, who knew leadership didn’t always come from captains and coaches. Sometimes leadership comes from the unrecognized teammate who is leading while standing by your side.
Dominic DePalma, 2005B, shared a victorious season when he played junior high soccer as a Jaguar under Coach Maurice Williams. Dominic was a Colorado State Cup Champion and Most Valuable Player who was selected to represent the Olympic Development Program and Colorado Select for three years. Dominic was killed by a drunk driver on July 28, 2022. His community banded together to honor this fierce competitor and gifted athlete by creating and supporting this scholarship in his name.
See Application for more details. Submissions are due June 8, 2025. Please note that applicants will be expected to provide 3 letters of recommendation (from a coach, a teacher, and a fellow player or player parent), which may take applicants about a week to collect.
