Boys soccer head to Quarterfinals

Two rounds in. Two big wins.

Last night, the Jags made it look easy against Lamar in the 2nd round of the 3A State Playoffs, winning 4-0. Senior Troy Brown led the Jags with a HAT TRICK and Luca Arroyo (Sr) knocked in a goal to ice the win. Big thanks to Pinnacle Charter School for welcoming our community and giving us a place to play under the lights!

Lamar came out playing hard, and unfortunately, it ended up being to the Jags' advantage. The game was marred by hard fouls and a handful of yellow cards, which allowed the Jags to take over early. Once Brown netted his second goal on a PK, the team never looked back.

Once again, the Jags' defense held the opposing team at midfield for the majority of the game, only allowing a couple of shots to make it to Junior Goalkeeper Trevor Chichirico.

In other games, top-seeded Colorado Academy defeated Roaring Fork in a shootout, and The Academy (8-seed) took out The Classical Academy, 2-0. Both Peak To Peak (5-seed) and Kent Denver (4-seed) won their games, setting up two huge Metro League clashes in the top half of the playoff bracket.

In our half, 3-seed Steamboat Springs squeaked past KIPP Denver, 1-0, and Eagle Ridge (11-seed) defeated 6-seed Stargate in a thriller, 3-2. Coal Ridge got past Atlas Prep, 1-0.
