The end of the semester is here! This will be our last family newsletter until MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2026.
As we close up the week and the Fall semester, please take note of the following dates.

ENROLLJEFFCO IS OPEN! What does this mean for you? This is the time of year when families need to log into the system to inform JA Secondary and Jeffco schools of their enrollment plans for the next academic school year.
Log into enrolljeffco.org, using the same login information you do for the Infinite Campus parent portal, anytime between today and January 9, and complete the intent to return steps or indicate if you will be leaving JA Secondary (Please note: You do not need to re-apply if you are a current family).
CAREER DAY PRESENTERS NEEDED The 2026 Career Day event is coming soon! On Thursday, February 26th, the halls will be filled with excitement as we present our annual Career Day event from 8:00am - 11:00am. We are just starting the initial planning process and are looking for a few people who are interested in presenting! If you are interested in finding out more information about the event or are looking to potentially present, please contact Mr. Cloonan!
STUDENT ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
JUNIOR HIGH EVENT UPDATE/SAVE THE DATE The Junior High Community Club (JHCC) is planning an awesome event just for 7th and 8th graders. Please block out 4:30pm - 6:00pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026! Right now, we are a very small group of kids trying to do a very big job. We could certainly use more student helpers! JHCC meets during lunch once per week. See Miss Babcock in Room 251 for more information and to join the Club!
ATHLETICS
JH GIRLS BASKETBALL REGISTRATION Registration for junior high girls basketball is open. Registrations must be submitted by December 17th at 4:00pm. If registrations are not received by this time, your player will not be able to participate on Jan. 6th. They will be required to sit-out until all registrations are received. Registrations will not be approved over the winter break.
WINTER SEASON CONCESSION SIGN-UP Earn money for your school sport, club and organization, even Junior High can participate, when you volunteer at the concession stand. Slots are still available for the upcoming Basketball Tournament and a few slots in January and February. Not trained, adults can be trained at the next group training on Thursday January 15, 2025. GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER Off-season workouts for high school girls soccer will start next month. If you are interested in participating and are not currently on TeamSnap, please email Mrs. Chichirico at schichirico@jajags.com and she will get you added.
YOUTH BOYS & GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP Our JA high school boys and girls basketball teams will be hosting a one-day youth boys and girls basketball camp over winter break!
● Who: Boys & Girls, 2nd–8th grade
● When: Monday, December 29th, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
● Cost: $45 per camper

This is a great opportunity for your child to learn new skills, have fun, and work with our high school players and coaches!
THE JAGUARS RETURN TO BALL ARENA The boys and girls varsity basketball teams will be playing The Academy at Ball Arena on February 9th. The games will be a doubleheader with the girls game starting around 1:00 PM, followed by the boys game.
As part of this event, you’ll also get to see the Denver Nuggets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers that same night! Ticket Details:
● Purchasing a ticket gives you access to both the high school games and the Nuggets game.
● If you can’t attend the high school games, you can still use the ticket for the Nuggets game.
● Tickets must be purchased in advance — no tickets will be sold the day of the game.
