JAGS WIN! JAGS WIN!

Earlier this month, the Jefferson Academy Key Club attended the annual Rocky Mountain District Key Club Convention at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. The convention brings together over 80 clubs from nine divisions across Colorado, Wyoming, and the panhandle of Nebraska.

This year's event was special for the Jags, as they took home four awards, with two being pretty big accomplishments! The Major Emphasis Award and the Single Service Award.

The Major Emphasis Award is given to the Key Club that has produced, through its unselfish efforts, the best Major Emphasis Project of the year. Any project completed at a local level, aligned with the theme “Children: Their Future, Our Focus,” shall be considered a Major Emphasis project. Our major emphasis project this year was our drive for The Denver Dream Center

The Single Service Award program recognizes individual Key Clubs for their single best service project. Our single service project this year was our Hope House dinner.

We're so lucky to have students who not only care about our extended community but are dedicated to making the world around them better.
