STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

SEL SURVEY:

On September 24th, students took a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) survey by Panorama Education. This was a self-assessment in areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making. We used the results to target relationship skills and self-management by guiding workshops for both JH and HS students led by our Student Support team, and lessons integrated within classrooms by teachers. On April 23rd, all students took the end of year Panorama survey with data results indicating overall growth in both relationship skills and self-management.

TIPS FOR THE FINAL WEEKS OF SCHOOL:

  1. Students should be spending time with teachers before or after school as frequently as possible.

  2. All homework/classwork needs to be turned in on time for the remainder of the semester to earn full credit and recover previous low grades.

  3. If there are missing assignments listed in Canvas that can still be turned in for credit, students need to get these completed and turned in to teachers as soon as possible to recover any potential credit.

  4. Many teachers will have study sessions or study guides leading up to final exams. Students should be attending each study session and completing all study guides.

  5. Here is a link for study strategies in each content area.

TEEN LIFE CONFERENCE (TLC):

A statewide, youth-led healthcare conference in Colorado designed to empower high school students to learn, lead, and shape conversations about the healthcare issues that impact their lives!

TLC will bring seventy teens, two from each Colorado Senate district, and leaders in Colorado healthcare to Denver for a one-day event on Saturday, June 20th, 2026. Through interactive workshops, meaningful dialogue with healthcare professionals, and leadership development opportunities, TLC will equip Colorado teens with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to navigate the healthcare system, explore healthcare career pathways, and advocate for themselves and their communities.

Built on the principle “by teens, for teens,” TLC is shaped by a Teen Advisory Committee of five Colorado teen leaders. TLC is a joint initiative of CCDC, Colorado Access, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Northeast Health Partners, Colorado Community Health Alliance, with support from University of Colorado Anschutz, COLOR Latina, Children's Hospital Colorado, and many more.
