SCHOOL NEWS 

This will be the last JA Secondary Newsletter for the 2025-2026 school year. Have a wonderful, safe summer!!

FINAL GRADES WILL BE IN INFINITE CAMPUS: Final report cards (for Junior High) and final transcripts (for High School) will be available in Infinite Campus after May 27th.  Please check your students grades and download copies for your records.  Report cards/transcripts are not mailed home.  

HEALTH OFFICE REMINDERS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

As we approach summer break, we would like to remind families of some important things to do before your student or students come back to school for the 2026-2027 year 2026-2027 Health Office Reminders

ATHLETICS

TEAMSNAP for ATHLETICS- If your student is interested in participating in high school sports next year and is not on the current TeamSnap roster, please email Mrs. Chichirico to let her know of your interests so she can get you added to the correct teams. This is only for those students who will be high school students for the 26-27 school year. 

INFO FOR SUMMER WORKOUTS Most fall and winter sports will be doing workouts during the summer. If their info isn’t listed below, contact the head coach for more information. You can find all the coaches’ contact information on our athletics webpage

SUMMER BASKETBALL WORKOUTS

  • High school workouts: Tuesdays 6-7:30pm; Wednesdays 7-8:30pm

  • Young Jags Clinic: July 25th 10am-2:00pm

  • HS Car Wash: July 25th 11:00am-3:00pm

JEFFERSON ACADEMY SOFTBALL SKILLS CAMP Our high school varsity softball team is excited to host a Skills Camp for Elementary and Middle School girls. Campers will learn and practice proper warmups and throwing mechanics, infield and outfield fielding techniques, baserunning fundamentals, and batting form and hitting drills. The camp will be led by JA varsity softball players and coaches, many of whom have experience competing at high levels, including college ball. We'll also have fun games, giveaways, and chances to win prizes throughout the camp!

All camp sessions will take place at Clapper Field at the Broomfield Industrial Park - 7000 W 116th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020

SUMMER CROSS COUNTRY We will begin our summer training session on June 17th. We will train from 7:30-9:00 am each day meeting at Westbrook Park. During the summer training window, middle and high school athletes train together. Most high school athletes will come every day. Most middle school athletes will train 2-3 days a week. Runs will be built around runner ability with different runs each day. To join us this summer….

K-8th GRADE SUMMER VOLLEYBALL CAMPS - We are so excited to share our annual kids volleyball camp again. If you are a small business owner and you would like to have your logo on the back of our August shirts, please contact coach Alexa.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS SOCCER TRYOUT INFORMATION 

JH Boys Soccer will be holding tryouts on Tuesday, August 11th and Thursday, August 13th at Jefferson Academy Elementary School. Tryouts will run from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

We are asking players to attend both tryout dates if possible. However, if you have a conflict, please make an effort to attend at least one of the tryout sessions.

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY SUMMER EVENTS  More information will be shared in the coming weeks for each of these events: Putting these on your radar:

  • Precious Child – Fill Up A Backpack Drive

    The Athletic Department is partnering with Precious Child for the “Fill Up A Backpack” giving campaign during June and July. We will be holding our donation drop off at the high school from July 15th through July 29th. The list of items to donate will be given to us soon and once that happens we will get that out. This is a great cause to help support our community. Thank you for your support. 

  • Palisade Peaches Fundraiser

    The Athletic Department will once again be hosting our Palisade Peaches fundraiser. More information will come out next week to start purchasing the peaches. The last day to buy peaches will be on July 30th.

  • Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser

    The Athletic Department will be hosting a Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser called Paddles for a Purpose on August 16th at the Apex Parks and Recreation Simms Street Recreation Center in Arvada. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. More information regarding registration and sign-ups will be sent out next week.
