It's been a while since our last Live Feed Update! We wanted to make sure that our school community takes a look at the Finals schedule for the next two days. Please keep in mind that classes end at 11:35am both days. Students are REQUIRED to leave the building at 11:35am. The building will be closed to prepare for the upcoming Bob LaVoie Memorial Basketball Tournament.

With 40 families on our list, including 100 children and 79 adults, we ask for your support to help make this possible. A small contribution can go a long way toward brightening someone’s season. Feel free to share the list with others outside our organization, too. Together, our strong community can make a meaningful difference!
Please drop off donations by Monday, December 9th, at one of our front offices (JAE, JAS, JACCC, SAW). If donation drop-off is a hardship, reach out to Tiffany to coordinate pickup.

From 5:00 - 9:00pm, head on over to the 121st Ave location and order all the chicken fingers you can eat! If you mention "Jefferson Academy", they'll make sure to throw some of that cash towards our school. The proceeds from the event will go directly back into providing the amazing programming that we offer our students!

SNOW DAY ALERT:
Friday, November 8, 2024 will be a snow day for all JA and Summit Academy campuses. All childcare programs, after-school activities, and meetings scheduled will be canceled and all facilities will be closed.
Please note: We follow Jeffco Public Schools for weather related closures.

Wednesday is a LATE START!
On the first Wednesday of every month, we will have a late start to accommodate meetings for our teachers and staff. Doors will open at 9:30am, first bell at 10:25am. Due to the anticipated cold temperatures over the next week, please do not drop off your student before 9:30am - the doors will not be open.
As always on late starts - there is no First Period.
ROUND TWO!
Tomorrow evening, the boys soccer team takes on Steamboat Springs in the second round of the State Playoffs. The game is slated to start and will take place rain/snow or shine. In the case of severe weather, we will announce any schedule changes here and on our social pages.
Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students - Activity/Metro/CHSAA passes are accepted.

Just a little reminder that we DO have school on Friday, November 1st.
We understand that the school district sent out a communication yesterday about Jeffco schools not having class, however, our school calendars do not overlap 100%. This is one of those unfortunate times that we have school when the district does not.

Tonight marks the opening of the High School Drama Club's "12 Incompetent Jurors" performance. Doors open at 6:30pm tonight and tomorrow. Show is at 7:00pm.

Attention JA families! 📢
You may have received a message from Jefferson County Schools with a reminder that students do not have school tomorrow, Friday, September 20th. However, our students WILL have school tomorrow. Jefferson Academy students will not have school on Friday, September 27th instead.
As a reminder, JA campuses have their own approved calendars that are not always exactly aligned with Jeffco Public Schools. Please refer to the approved family calendars, which can be found on our websites. If you have questions, please contact your campus front office.
Did you purchase an Activity Pass for your student? If so, please encourage them to stop by the main office to get their sticker! Students will need their Activity Pass sticker for home games and any other after-school activity that has an admission price.
The Paw Patrol is out!
Starting today, we will be monitoring the school's parking lot for parking permits. If your student does not have a parking sticker, they will receive a warning ticket. After the warning ticket, fines will be given per the required parking permit form.
If your student has not filled out the parking permit form, it's located in the main office. The parking fee can be paid online via the Infinite Campus parent portal or in person to Mr. Melville.

CURRICULUM NIGHT AT SECONDARY!
On Monday, August 26th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, join us for a community event where we will discuss the school's identity and our hopes and desires for your student. The event is open to all Secondary families - new and returning.
The evening will begin with an all-community presentation about our school and then break into academic departments where teachers will be able to share what your student's experiences will be throughout their educational careers at Secondary.
This event is not meant for families to meet specifically with your student's teachers, but rather learn more about each department as a whole, and what their mission for student learning will look like while attending Secondary.
